Puppy Training Sydney
Expert In-Home Training From Just 8 Weeks of Age!
Overwhelmed by your new puppy? Worried about toilet training, biting, or separation anxiety? You're not alone - and the good news is that early puppy training prevents problems before they become habits

Your Puppy Has A Lot to Learn - Let's Make It Easy for Both of You
When your baby puppy arrives in your home, everything is new and potentially scary. Where should they toilet? What can they chew? How do they cope without mum and siblings? This is a stressful time for your new puppy, and the confusion can quickly turn into problem behaviours.
The truth is: The first few weeks set the foundation for your puppy's entire life.
Early training doesn't just stop bad habits - it prevents them from forming in the first place. It minimises stress for everyone and helps your puppy become a confident, happy, well-adjusted dog.
Common Puppy Challenges We Solve
🚽 Toilet Training — We build a realistic schedule, teach you to read your puppy's signals, and set up your home for success. Most puppies show major improvement within 3–5 days.
🦷 Biting & Mouthing — We teach bite inhibition and guiding appropriate behaviours. Improvement is usually visible within the first session, resolved within a week with consistency.
😢 Crying & Separation Anxiety — We help your puppy build confidence and independence gradually, with kind, practical solutions. Most puppies settle within 3–7 days.
🏠 Home Environment & House Rules — Chew toys, crate training, play boundaries, introducing other pets, puppy-proofing — we cover it all.
🎓 Early Obedience — Even baby puppies can start learning! We begin name recognition, basic commands, and recall in your very first session. A mentally engaged puppy is a well-behaved puppy.
TRAIN YOUR PUPPY EARLY TO HELP YOUR NEW FRIEND BECOME A CALM AND HAPPY PUPPY
Our Two-Phase Program
Phase 1 — In-Home Foundation (2 hours) Covers toilet training, biting, separation anxiety, house rules, early obedience, and any other challenges. Book from 24 hours after your puppy arrives home. Includes hands-on training, personalised guidance, and unlimited email support.
Ideally you'll then get your pup into a local pre-school for socialisation during the critical 8–16 week window.
Phase 2 — Real-World Skills (1.5 hours) Once pup's old enough for walks (usually at 16-18 weeks old) we can cover loose leash walking, recall when out, polite greetings, and exposure to real-world environments. Even if a pup has gone to puppy pre-school, if you don't learn how to guide your pup at park time, he may develop fear and reactivity later.
⭐ Book both sessions together and save.
🏠 Creating a Puppy-Friendly Home Environment
Beyond the Basics: Toilet training and biting get all the attention, but there's so much more your puppy needs to learn for a harmonious household.

Frequently Asked Questions
When should I start? Within 24–48 hours of bringing your puppy home, from 8 weeks of age.
Is my puppy too young? No — they're already learning. The question is whether they'll learn good habits or bad ones.
I've had my puppy a few weeks and problems have started — is it too late? Not at all, but act soon. The longer problems persist, the harder they are to fix.
Why not group classes? Group classes are great for socialisation, but individual issues (like toilet training in your home) need one-on-one attention. We recommend in-home first, then classes.
My puppy seems aggressive — growling or snapping. What do I do? Book immediately. Early intervention is essential for aggression.

Puppy Training Referrals
"We enjoyed a quality two hour session with Maria from Mutts with Manners on a Saturday afternoon. Maria turned up well prepared for the session and is both professional and approachable - our puppy immediately responded to her (as did we). As new puppy owners, we wanted to make sure we had all the tools to set our puppy up for the best possible life. We all feel that after the session with Maria, we have learned a lot - both our puppy and his parents are happy and have a great toolkit now for puppy life! Will certainly be back for refresher training. Thanks again."

"I would like to start with a big Thank You. Misty and I really enjoyed puppy training. We learnt so much and lots of great tips. What I liked is I felt I could talk to you and ask you anything and you had great advice to help us through. Thanks so much"

"We made various attempts to take Indie to puppy training school where the classes were more like a battle with our dog as opposed to an enjoyable learning experience. Then we were very happy to meet you and join together to train our beautiful new pup. Your advice and assistance in training was comparable to none and the difference in the behaviour of Indie was noticeable in 2 weeks. We look forward to seeing you soon."
